Very momentous weekend. I am in love with the changes going around me!!!

The food choices have hit a bit of a bump, and the lack of time has cut into the exercise, but no worries, today is back in the saddle!! Wanna continue this sweet, downward trend on the scale that has stayed with me so consistently since the beginning of September. Running and Low Carbing- totally RULES!!!!

Have had more eating-out & drinking opportunities than I'd counted on through Thurs--which really does cut in the dieting, but what the heck! Life's short!! Where it comes to friendship, love, social life, and good entertainment, can't be too concerned about a little damage due to vino, sodium, or carbs!
Laissez les bon temps roulent!!!!...and In Vino Veritas! ;))

Anyhow, exercised saturday morning--a nice, solid run (322k; 2.56 miles). Went on my third date (shopping together for a picnic, then picnic in the park with wine and cheese, and a little bit of hiking on a hill (didn't get winded even though it was a sharp slope!), and enjoying the beautiful, last-of-the-summer day!)). A very good date. Food-wise, I'd had cereal in the morning, so I was good. On the date, we did kill a bottle of wine b/w us, and I had made us buy all healthy stuff...so, no olives, desserts, falafel, or breads unlike what he'd wanted--instead, we both decided cheese, light crackers, hummus, grapes, etc. would be the way to go. Hence, that's what I had--the cheese must have been high fat no doubt, but oh my! 7 yr old smoked gouda, manchego, asiago, aged parmesan..and the best wine-cheese combination!! The setting was so perfect too..right on top of a mountain, overlooking the river, and under canopies of tall,skinny trees (Ohio's answer to Redwoods!).... conversation flowed like wine, and the connection deepened like the slow smoking of a cheese! ok, ok...basta! I'm gonna switch gears before I get too carried away...!

Saturday evening was a comedy show with other friends, and then dinner out--Vietnamese restaurant. No way around the types of unhealthy food they serve even in the best of asian restaurants.I skipped the usual fried stuff, and ordered a pan-fried tofu sweet and sour dish with rice (they didn't have brown rice :( And nothing on the menu was completely carbs-free...while the soups were, but I figured too high in salt. Well, next time I'll choose that---coz this restaurant has huge bowls of piping hot soups chockfull of good stuff!! In my case, that'd be veggies and tofu. After coming home, I was up pretty much the whole night, so I finished up the rest of the cheese from the picnic, the leftover tofu dish, and had a couple of crackers...yikes!

Sunday--no workout! :( No reason! But, did need to catch up on my sleep---so somehow, the day was lost after the ongoing stuff and after my long middle-of-the-day siesta. I can't remember what I ate!!!! Late night, 1 veggie patty, and a luna bar with my coffee. Probably some almonds. Possibly a wasa cracker. And that's all I can rustle up from memory. But who cares?! Saturday through Sunday has been a whirlwind..!

Back to business today. Weight is slightly up from the debauchery of the weekend (0.4 or so), but no worries---it should be down tomorrow!!! I'll make sure of that! Now, it's afternoon, and I've had decent meals so far. Need to up the water intake. Will go running in the evening. And will catch up on work. The rest of the week should be productive--have a lot to do, but good planning, good energy, and the spiritual presence of the angel on my side should carry me through the week of that I'm sure.

My positive realization and moment of gratitude?? Too many to count! Just one covers it all: Open your heart, let the love in, and watch it spread a rainbow of color over your life!

Hope my buddies are doing awesome!! Sorry, y'all! I'll be visiting you all shortly! As soon as I catch my breath! However, I have you all on my mind--hence, in spirit, I'm with y'all!! Keep up the butt-kickin' work!!! I wanna hear you're all doing awesome!!!! Love ya all! mwah!

Evening Update:

Exercise: Week 2 of the running program began today. Now, 1.5 mins intervals of running, followed by 3 mins intervals of walking for at least 30 mins. I did 7-8 run intervals @ 4.8 mph, and the remaining at 3.7 mph. 10 mins of warm up/cool down at 3.5 mph. 344 K burned, 2.66 miles total at 4.5 level

Food:
Fiber one cereal with milk (1.5)
1 veggie patty (2)
almonds (3)
another veggie patty (2)
tofu stir fry (3)
protein mix with soy milk (2)

Total: 13.5

Water: about 2-3 liters, and yet felt thirsty and bloated. DOn't know what's causing the water retension, but maybe today's running will help!

Wow! Awesome weekend! The date sounded amazing! I'm so happy for you. Weekend sounds fun. I'm so glad you're living life to the fullest. We gotta chat soon and make plans for October! Give me a ring! Great job on the 2.56 miles! Great work! You'll be running 3Ks in no time! Then marathons! Who knows? Maybe I'll run one w/ya. hmmm...NOT! LOL. I'll be there cheering for you though!
