"THE BEGINNING"

What am I doing here? Hmmmm.... I always have great intentions late at night. Especially when I don't plan on acting on them until tomorrow. I'm good at telling myself, "Tomorrow I'll will start eating better." "Tomorrow I will start walking more." Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow. Well tomorrow is here and I didn't hold myself true to my words. It only effects me. They're my secrets. My plans for myself. And that's why it's easy to fail.

I'm hoping that this website will help me stick to my intentions and give me motivation for tomorrow. That it will give me insight to the choices I make. By documenting my menu, I should be able to see just exactly what I'm eating and see where I can make better choices. Most of the time I don't I realize the caloric amounts or the portion sizes. Therefore I'm hoping this site will shed some light to my actions. Bring my secrets out of the closet and making me accountable to my goals.

Counting calories and looking for food with the most bang for the calorie is how I'm going to attempt to eat. And drinking more water. WATER WATER WATER! I thought for sure I would loose something by ditching my 2 liter a day Coke habit. And that was no small feat, but a month later not one pound lighter.

I have no more excuses about working out. There is a treadmill and Bowflex Ultimate sitting in my garage. The excuse of it being too hot is no longer valid with autumn's cooler mornings smiling at me. So I want to make a realistic goal for myself.

Tonight, my ambitions want so badly to say I'm going to work out on the Treadmill Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. And the Bowflex Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Yet knowing myself as I do.... tomorrow will come and I'll flop. And in less that three days there will be long periods of silence. So....

** Week One: To document my menu every day and promise myself to workout for 30 minutes 3 days this week. Weigh in on Sunday 10/10/2010

I am going to set daily goals. After I hold myself accountable to them for one week I will refocus and decide what is the best plan for Week 2. I do not want Jillian Michaels hollering in my face. So I'm hoping by setting daily workout goals, looking at my daily intake in writing and my "soon to be friends" on this site's encouragement to help keep me going.

** Monday: Walk on treadmill for 30 minutes. To eat realistically and DOCUMENT (this will be new to me) so I can see what I eat. And.... Water Water Water.

And so it begins! And here's hoping for tomorrow! :)

See now you are the only one on here that knows the TRUE me so let me tell you this....I am going to help you and be brutally honest with you. Please make sure you aren't going UNDER 1200 calories either. If you want, you can view my diet log and see what I've been eating...but most of that is not good stuff LOL...however I do stay under 1600 most days! Girl, you can do anything you set your mind tooo...now as soon as you read this, get your ass on the treadmill for that 30 minutes you said you were going to do! And no, you don't want Jillian in your face....I work out with her and she's tough! LOL ...not really...I just work out with her on TV but she is still tough!

MA.... I can handle your brutal honesty. As long as you can handle mine. We can do this together! We're both bitches! LOL I am so stoked about this site! I love that all the food I buy in my local market is already calibrated in here! It's awesome! I'm not telling my local friends & family what I'm doing. Not even telling my boyfriend completely what I'm doing. I want to make this "MY THING" at least for a while. So your friendship is going to be what I hold on to for now. I so hope you will feel you can count on me for support, guidance and encouragement as a sincere friend who's walking down this road with you. *smiles*
