geo99's Journal, 03 October 2010

As I was reading other peoples journals, I noticed something that a lot of us are guilty of. That is, we see the success in all the other people and are quick to comment/encourage/help as we can, YET, in our own lives we are quick to criticize and be harsh to ourselves. We need to build ourselves up and look forward to the changes we are doing and the fact our lives are getting better each day. At the time, it seems to us that we are not doing that great, but bad habits are changing, inches are being lost, weight is going down or even we just don't overeat like we used to. For myself, it took decades to develop the enforce all the bad habits and I sometimes get frustrated when I don't change overnight. This site works because we can see the changes in others and support them and they in turn support us. A big thank-you to all my friends on this site. Have a great week.

I agree, it is encouraging to see people walking on the same path as we are, seeing that it can be done, and that its just as much of a struggle as it is an accomplishment. :] Glad to be your buddy!! CONGRATS ON KILLIN THAT 100LB MONSTEr!!!

So true! Remember the old saying...no one is harder on us than ourself! The journey continues, the pounds, inches, grams, cm's or what every measure you use come off, the clothes sizes diminish, medical conditions improve, the bad habits are turned around and new ones developed all because of the continued support we provide each other here at FS.

Thanks so much for your insight. You are so right. This is what FS is all about. I'm going to give myself a pat on the back today! Hope you do the same.
