Marye's Journal, 04 February 2007

I now have the YOU book, and I'm going through it from beginning to end. I'm about a quarter of the way through it and it's really interesting how our bodies work. I like the drawings, they make the book more fun to read. I love walking but I'm going to have to rely on my treadmill or do the OZ exercises indoors, it's been pretty cold here in Wis. This morning our gauge read 10 below. Brrrr! A few more days of this and hopefully things will warm up! Down another 2 pounds, I love it! My sugar cravings have definitely slowed down to a crawl, pretty much everything I ate prior to this had so much sugar in it. and here I thought I was eating healthy!! We have some steel cut oats in the cupboard, haven't tried them yet, any words on the best way to prepare?? Looking forward to another loss next week, and good luck to all of you as well!
Have a great week everyone!

Regarding your question on the steel cut oats - the brand I have says to cook them from 10-20 min, and I cook them them for about 15 min. with a very healthy dose of cinnamon. They aren't too bad warmed up, and I throw in a few toasted walnuts, raisins, a little splenda and shot of skim milk. They are more tasty than I expected! good luck
