Yes it is but think between then and now more can be done, millions are spent on helping people get off smoking and more people die from obesity, its a silent illness.

Realizing that you are suffering from a form of the blues is KEY. Taking steps to brighten your home, your outlook and life are crucial. Yes, get out and go for a walk! Pick some flowers and put them on the table or in the kitchen. Get a nice candle or air freshener to get your senses feeling better, too. I would also suggest pulling out a pair of pants or nice top to have for incentive and hang it on the back of your bedroom door to remind you of what your next goal is! You can DO IT!! Drink up the water and eat well today, with a bit of moving, you'll be down in no time!

The first step is the hardest. It's also helpful to go for a walk as soon as you wake up. As in you wake up, get dress, go tinkle, and go out the door! You will be walking before you have time to change your mind, then the rest of your day is spent knowing that at least you did something. This is just me talking here, but I also believe that small goals are just as important as the big ones. To not look so much at the major tasks of losing a bunch of weight or conquering depression, but rather, what are you going to do today? What goal would you like to accomplish before you go to bed tonight? How about in the next hour?
