Another loss, finally. I've been an emotional roller coaster after my Doctor's appointment over the phone almost 2 weeks ago. He wanted me down to 340 and I only hit 380. I just didn't feel like I could lose 75 pounds in 3 months and I did the best I could and got a huge lecture and it made me go off the wagon awhile. He acts like I don't know I'm fat..trust me I already know. He ignores that I'm no longer on medication for diabetes and have my A1C down to 5.0, my HBP is under control, and I feel better. I keep telling myself to ignore him, do your best, be HEALTHY first, and the weight will follow.
381.2 lb Lost so far: 60.8 lb.    Still to go: 201.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

The doctor seems a little unreasonable to expect you to lose 75 pounds in 3 months, that's 25 pounds a month! I am lucky, my doctor really encourages me when I am trying to lose weight (always) and gives me lots of guidance. Tells me the best diet to follow, what foods I can eat and cannot for my health issues. And he is very encouraging. So if I were you I would look for another doctor or find another health professional to provide support and guidance. A friend of mine went to a nutritionist who really helped her figure out what to do to lose weight and brought her expectations in line with what is a reasonable amount to expect to lose with her health issues. All your results sound really good to me!

Sorry you had to deal with someone like that. Find another doctor asap. DO NOT continue with this person. He is toxic.

the only view that matters is gods view and he calls you beloved daughter. my wife had a positive pap once and instantly they told her it's cancer. I heard the holy spirit say who knows more the one that created her or the one that studied for 8 years. the next one was negative and all others since. keep being you. your a blessing to me and my family we appreciate you.

wow, down to 5 on A1c,that's great, not all doctor relationships are made in heaven so find another doctor this person is not the right match for you and 75 lbs seems an impossible and unhealthy amount to lose in 3 months, there are great doctors out there find one.

I had a doctor who always commented that I needed to lose weight at every visit. As time passed I discovered that the harder I tried to lose the more she would undermine me. I now have a different primary care doctor who seriously looks at my labs etc and works with me. Even though I think I am doing the same things in my weight loss effort I feel like I am more successful than before. Could be that all the negativity I got from the previous doctor affected my psyche?? Stay positive and do what you need to do for you! It is never easy but you can do it. The support from fellow travelers on this site is true gold.

If your doctor feels it is healthy for you to lose 75 lbs in three months and have you no positive feedback on the incredible progress you have made-fire him! Keep up the great work!!
