I enjoyed myself immensely at our family cookout yesterday. Ate too much, but had a good time :) I'll get back on track this week.
So I saw the accupuncture dr again today. . she said I am progessing well and responding well. She wants me to come again Sat., but it was $120 not $70, she had some weird reasoning for why the prices are different on her website. I can't afford $120 a couple times a week!!! I'm thinking after I went it's the herbs making me feel better anyway not the acupuncture. I told my mom I didn't have an "aha I need to keep this up" moment while I was there either. So my plan is to complete the herbal stuff for the 2 weeks and forgo further acupuncture treatments (they aren't unpleasant, but not pleasant either and definately not worth $120!!) I'm beating myself up a bit for spending that, but what is done is done and I can't undo it I can just not repeat it! The other thing she wants me to do is not eat, just drink chicken soup. . .for 2 weeks. I know I need to eat better and I have been doing fairly well at it, but I can't starve myself for 2 weeks. I know a lot of people do cleanses and love them, but I don't feel that is really necessary.
My plan: continue to exercise, eat better, relax, think positive thoughts, and focus on taking care of myself and not just everyone and everything else. I think our mental attitude is what affects us the most and I know I need to change that and I will!
