Sandy701's Journal, 14 June 2013

It's official....there's certainly something wrong with my body. I woke up before 6AM, got up, and actually finished all my walking, including the dogs', by 7:30AM. As a most-decidedly NON-morning person, there's only 1 explanation.....I've become possessed by some unknown, outside force!!!!! LOL!!!

I had a volunteer commitment this AM - part of the reason for needing to be up somewhat earlier - and then I headed over across the county to various shopping places, including TJMaxx. Haven't been there in ages, so I made sure to make up for lost time!

I had no idea I was taking so long in there (but it sure was fun), so I had to get myself in gear to pick up a few groceries and pop into Sam's before heading home.

This weekend, I need to get my mom's birthday gifts wrapped up and ready to ship out on Monday. DH will be experimenting with a new software program to fine tune his car (eyes rolling). He also decided we need a new computer, so any day now, I may drop out of the virtual world for an unknown amount of time - LOL! He decided he could set it up himself, so whenever it arrives, it should be a real adventure. As long as he does all the work and it works when he's done, I'm just fine with it.

Diet Calendar Entry for 14 June 2013:
1895 kcal Activities & Exercise: Walking (exercise) - 3.5/mph - 53 minutes, Resting - 15 hours and 7 minutes, Sleeping - 8 hours. more...

LOL on the computer and the software program. Fingers crossed. Good for you and the outside forces possessing you. Early starts give you every advantage over the day, I think anyway. Enjoy your shopping!

The benefit is that you can enjoy the cool mornings. I was forced to become a morning person when I met DH 20 years ago but my body is still confused.

Bren, we've heard so many bad things about Windows 8 that we thought to postpone everything until 8.1 comes out this fall. But a good friend in Washington state who's become Microsoft-certified, or some such thing, suggested we consider getting a new computer with Windows 7 on it....which is what we did. SO good to hear THAT is something reasonable! We'll be a bit behind the technology, but from everything that we're reading, that's perfectly fine by us. It will still be an upgrade to us (from XP). Shopping was great....just wish I would have had another few (several??) hours.

Heather, that's what I keep telling myself. Unfortunately, whatever internal clock I've got wants to be more of a night owl; not necessarily the overnight hours, but afternoon and early evening hours are my best!

My body's confused too, Buffy. I can force myself to do the early AM thing, but it takes me no time at all to revert back to a later start. Whoever decided that some business and school hours begin at 7, or even 8??? Obviously it was a morning person - LOL!

PS - Think you made a wise choice on the computer. My new (home) computer is a 7 and I adapted to it immediately. We have an 8 at work and I don't think I'll ever get used to it. Just finding anything is soooo complicated.

A complicated system on a computer is something I definitely DON'T need!!!

Not unless we have a 10 year old close by to show us how it is done - LOL!
