Ahhh...I love Sunday mornings! I feel all fresh and new for the week! We like to go to mass services on Saturday evening...so I just sit, with my coffee and big uggs on and enjoy the quiet.
For those that don't know...I live on a dairy farm. My husband 'bought the family farm'(ha) about 20 years ago. It's really a nice life out here. Our home is in the middle of 200 acres and my drive-way is 1/2 mile one way. It's PERFECT for walking with no traffic and LOTS of nature around. I often have to scoot the wild turkeys off the drive as I walk...lets just say they make a mess...ICK! HAHA!! I consider it a challenge to not get my shoes dirty! EWIE! HA!
My hubby and I went 'out on the town' last night. No agenda, just see who we can see and have a few beers. The first place we went into had a live band.."stone halo" was their name...AHhh...let's just say the glasses behind the bar were shaking off the shelves. A bit loud...must be getting old...HAHA...me...old? NE'VA!!! Walked into Corner, the fav local pub of mine...and UFC-88 was on. Ok, that was a different experience...NOT into ultimate fights...don't understand WHY you would want to hurt someone so badly...my stomach hurt watching it...but we knew people there so I had a good time anyway. Mark (my hubby) and I have a good time anytime we go out...even if no one is around we know. Just like hangin' with him :o)!
We're off to the Twins game today! GO TWINS!!! LOVE watchin' live baseball games!!! And we're doing pretty well, too!!
Not to worry about diet at a ball game...I thought I heard if you're at a sporting event that ALL the food has no calories or fat...right???
HAHA!

Reading your journal this morning was a real mood lifter! Love your energy! I know what you mean about the turkey droppings. When I walk a the park, we sometimes have to do the Goose Poop quick-step. Enjoy your game!

Mornings are THE BEST. My cup of coffee is more like a mini soup bowl really, and I've put on my huge white Ikea slippers. Soon I'm going to 10:30 Mass. I love when the sun pours in through the windows and the music floats between the columns. .
I lucked upon some choice flowering plants that I need for the spring, so i can pop them into the ground later today. And there's a whole slew of weeds that I've ignored in the large flower bed to the right of our driveway . . . steepest driveway on the cul de sac in a spread of houses tucked on the side of Mt. Seymour, the closest coastal range to the Pacific.
Tonight our daughter is playing her first soccer game of the season on a new team . . I'm really looking forward to that!! I'll bring my runners to do an hour of laps around the field/park.
Best of all, I'm meeting my girlfriend for coffee at 4pm. We have some really good laughs together.

Sounds like a beautiful place where you live! I love country living :) Have fun at the game! The Pittsburgh Pirates aren't a very good team, but I still enjoy a day out at the ball park! :)

Thanks for the journal, your place sounds beautiful! I too live in the country and I love it. I love to get up before my family on the weekends and just kick back and drink my coffee. Glad to hear you had a great weekend.

gracious sibs! if my hubby read about you both going to the Twins game, he'd have a COW RIGHT ABOUT NOW!! so in love with them, he is!! LOL your 'date night' with hubby sounded like a great time! WE usually end up in a personal bowling tourney, trying to out-do each other!! One of our trips to Minn. you and Mark will have to join us for a little 2 on 2!! LOL
