3.5 miles done and I'm really feeling the added amount. Can't wait to put my feet up!

Added later: Yup, still sore in a "not-in-a-good-sore" kind of way, so it probably means I went a bit too far today. I'll adjust back a bit tomorrow.

I still have grocery shopping to do today, so that will be even more time on my feet walking. Like a lot of stores these days, it's a huge store with a huge parking lot that's set back a good distance from the store itself. It has this big concrete area in front with concrete mini-pillars, 'cuz you never know when a terrorist might want to blow up the fruit and veggies!! Actually, I know it's to protect the people inside, but sometimes you wonder how far is too far to go to prevent all sorts of bad things.

I had a conversation with an older patron in the store a few weeks ago and she was talking about how much of a trek it is for her to get from the parking lot to the store, and how difficult it is going up and down aisle after aisle of items, trying to find what she's looking for (did I mention this store has been undergoing major renovations for the last year, so every time you go in, it's like shopping in a new store due to product movement?). She said she used to be able to get a ride that would drop her off right at the door to the store, but now, that's not a possibility since vehicles can't get anywhere close to the doors anymore. She's too proud to use a motorized cart and they can't be taken outside the store anyway.

I'm kind of off the weight loss topic here, I know, but these are the kinds of situations I'm noticing much more as I'm getting older myself. The problems people have with mobility are like a cattle prod to me to keep losing the weight and doing whatever I can to stay mobile.
