Dammit!
Gotta go to foot doc tomorrow. Hobbling around like crazy. Not able to do my miles these past couple of days, but put a lot in the bank last week. Gotta quit being a cheap ass and buy some decent shoes!

Hope everything is okay! I definitely found out to be very athletic you have to have some good shoes.

Me too. Last year I started walking / running at the gym with normal trainers and the bottom of my feet were rough and sore after about 2 weeks. I bought some proper running trainers and no problems since. Think they were in the sale at £60 but you can definitely get cheaper ones. Good luck at the docs :-)

I need good walking/running shoes myself. I have shoes that are GREAT for standing/walking, but too heavy for running. Then I have running shoes that are essentially awesome, but just a tad too small. :/

Good shoes are the best foundation! Go to a good shoe store and get fitted properly(running room or something like that). You will usually only have to buy them full price once....after that, buy them from online stores once you know your make model and size. There is usually a 30% savings because they ship from the warehouse, and they dont have overhead.

Under Armour Spine are about the best I've found. You can buy them direct from Under Armour at their website: http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/1235678/pid1235678-825 Most of the time there is "free shipping", usually second day air, and at this time "NO TAX". I ordered two pair after going to my local store and getting the correct size. I got them for nearly $20 less with no tax. I buy everything direct from them. Their customer service is outstanding, and the one problem I had with a shirt, they handled it by shipping me a new shirt at no charge. They stand behind their products. I was a Nike fan until I swapped about 5 years ago.
