Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! 

Squiggs, I did not realize that are in NZ. I have been praying for all affected. Will say some extra prayers for you, just as I am Ruby Jewell.

We are all alive and that is what counts. My planned big 40th party might be pretty small and pitiful though! A storm is headed this way too tomorrow afternoon - just what we don't need! 

What time is it there now? I'm sorry your 40th b'day won't be want you planned but as you said you and your family are safeand that's more important. I am sure you can celebrate when all this is over. I am with you in spirit. Hope you continue to be safe. Thanks for taking the time to come back on here - we are all concerned for you. 

Squiggs, glad that you are all safe and sound. Sorry that your 40th party isn't going to be as planned. However, I think that you may have gotten the best present you could possibly receive. You and your family are safe and sound! 

Yup you guys are right. I guess mum and dad will be eating party food for a while LOL. Hopefully we will have power by tonight. Oh and Dad said that the earthquake guy said expect a 6.something in the next two days - and that the aftershocks could last for weeks! They are about hourly right now, usually two at a time following close behind each other. The time right now is 4.19pm 

Very scary stuff.

Thanks all. Too scared to sleep. House is freezing too. They are predicting a 6.8 aftershock.....

thanks all, two more aftershocks, and i tried to sleep but it didn't work LOL. TOo cold now to sit here, snuggling with hubby under the duvet and praying!
