Good news/Bad news -- Well, the good news is that my partner & I won our tennis match yesterday & my tennis team clinched our spot in the local tournament in August. The bad news is that I celebrated a bit too much & ate more than I needed mindlessly. But the I stayed my course away from gluten, lactose & sugar, and feel good this morning & ready to get back on track eating healthfully & mindfully.
I have a couple more trips coming up, so am starting to plan & get ready for them. On Thurs, my DH & I take my MIL to Rome. My FIL passed away last summer, so as a birthday gift to her, we're taking my very devoutly Catholic MIL to Rome & especially to see the Vatican. They have a family friend who is a priest at the Vatican and has set up a couple of special tours for us, so we are all very excited! So I'll pack some healthy snacks, plan as much as I can and focus on eating mindfully, while allowing myself to truly enjoy the trip.
Then, later this month, I go to move my baby back from college & all 4 of us will go to see my Mom for a long weekend. So, I have a busy couple of weeks ahead, but will start each day as I do today --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
And will pray, breathe, log, post & express on this one day, meal, moment, bite and emotion at a time. xoxox
