Argh! I feel like I am starting over every other day! LOL. I thought that Friday was it for a month and I could go gangbusters for a month, only to find out there was one more potluck Sunday night. I REALLY have to figure out real life. So many occassions where I am not in control of the food being set on the table. Especially pot lucks where everyone is outdoing each other on the wonderful dishes they bring. I have to learn what really works and exercise it.

OK, so today, I start again. NO SUGARY FOODS!! Plan a week of healthy meals and snacks. Stick to it for one week. That is not so long. Just one week.

One the upside. I LOVE my elliptical. I have been concerned about being away from it for a month, even considered buying one for my daughter so I could use it while I am there. ; ) Instead, I pulled out my DVD's and I have several aerobic ones. I will take them and I can set up my laptop and go for it. She also has WII so I can find something on Netflicks to use. Between that and walking, I have no reason not to get in regular exercise while I am gone. I feel much better about staying away so long now.

I talked to a gal at the party last night that had recently lost 45 pounds. He weightloss came from health concerns and she followed her doctor's advice to get 45 minutes of exercise EVERYday. She had always eaten a fairly healthy diest, made a few changes to clean that up a little and exercises on her stationary bike 45 minutes a day. She is looking good!!! Just one more testament to just eating healthy and exercising regularly. It works!

DD, that is the one thing that concerns me most too... How to maintain my healthier eating habits when I get out in "real life." It's all fine and good here in the cocoon of my house. But when we go on vacation next week, I'm really nervous about sliding down the slippery slope of having just one croissant here, one ice cream there. I am thinking I may need to say no to those things permanently. Once I start, it's soooo hard to stop!

Keep staying with the healthy eating habits, and pretty soon the sugary junk food won't even look appetizing. A piece of fruit will look better than candy to you.

I live for that day! I am good with it at home. Unless it is sitting on the kitchen cournter. The big deal for me is when I am out in the real world.
