Thankyou Bunty, it was like I’d awoken from a deep sleep or a coma. I was getting dressed on morning and caught a glimpse of myself in the wardrobe mirror. I felt physically sick. I’ve always been a big bloke, I usually maintained a weight of 100kg, I’m 6ft tall and played rugby for years. A series of devastating life events led me into a dark abyss. What example was I setting for my 17 yrs old son? Luckily he’s a keen fitness fanatic! What I have been able to show him is that with the right attitude and determination anything is possible. I now feel like my old self, someone that had been AWOL for a number of years! The vast majority off people on this site are absolutely fantastic and a great inspiration. Good luck to us all. xx

It's great when you come out the other side of life's dramas and start to feel yourself again. I refuse to let anything get in the way of my own fitness and well being. Yes sometimes I drink too much or over eat but I never miss my exercise and tighten up my diet as and when required.
Hopefully you and your son can train together now! All the kids at my gym think I am a dinosaur! What do they know!! Roar. LOL

Cheers Bunty, erm not so sure about training with my laddie 😂 weights no problem, cardio eh,,,,,,,no chance! Horse riding and swimming are my exercise of choice just now. Poor Magik, ( that’s the gee gee) he’s a big bugger thank goodness. Not so sure he likes it when I imagine him in a sandwich every morning 😂 ( or a Tesco lasagne)
