Hi, All - thank you to all my buddies for being out there, in the world, and for coming here to share yourselves in this journey of ALL THINGS FOOD AND DIET. In recognition of my new life, starting today, I call today:
Day 1.
My list of 5 things for which I am grateful today:
1 - I am grateful for the financial stability that I have. Though my marriage was devoid of some things, we always had enough money and now I have enough money also, no matter that I feel that I will never have enough.
2 - OMG I am grateful for my friends who have listened to me over the years and are able to help me process in reality.
3 - I am grateful for my feelings - however difficult it is to be alone, no not alone, but without a mate, which is really different from being alone as Chattycathy pointed out, I feel that I was capable of love and tolerance and caring. That I was loved for a time, and that now I can begin to feel pity for my ex for letting go, pushing me away - I had love for him, but also a lot of anger and resentment for his being who he was, and we were not going to get around that. I will add here, as 3a - I am grateful to my ex for setting me free.
4 - I am grateful for my family, crazy though they are, they also have memories to share with me of who I was and who my ex was. And their willingness to share in my anger and sadness.
5 - I am grateful that one of my problems is having too much food and that there is fatsecret with all of my buddies and others to support me!
