December 1st progress: Down 4.4# this month. Went to the gym 33 times but took 5 whole days off. Down 2" from Chest, Down 1/2" from natural waist, Down 1.5" across navel, Down 1.75" from hips, down 1/4" from thigh, down 1/4" from calves, down 1/4" from forearm, down 1/4" from bicep. Averaged 2000 calories a day. Wearing size 11/12 but most are too big- unfortunately cannot breathe in a 10 yet so in an awkward in between. NSV... I guess the fact that I was able to do OMAD on Thanksgiving- eat all I wanted and not feel like I missed out and to lose through the holiday. And other NSV was realizing I needed to be eating more and not less to really start losing pounds AND inches. TOTAL SINCE FEB- 57.3 pounds and 65.5 total inches. CRAZY!!
185.2 lb Lost so far: 63.8 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Shari... I'm close to 5'9. I exercise 1-1.5 hours a day. I initially lost on 1700 calories and it started to slow quite a bit after the first 50 came off. It didn't make sense to me to have to eat less so I started eating more and my body appreciated it. Also - what Diablo said. Hope that helps. I couldn't live on so few calories.

@diablo360x I go to yoga 3x week and I walk or jog 1 to 1.5 hours daily while the weather is nice. Once it gets too cold I head into the gym. I count and measure everything. I'm currently in a study about calories and weight loss so it is pretty strict. I am 5 feet even and I weigh 155lbs.

Okay then you'd know that you have to be in a calorie deficit, but you also want to feed yourself enough energy to make the most out of your exercise and non exercise thermogenesis. It will also keep your body happy so that it not does not retain water and so that your metabolic adaptations don't cause your metabolism to slow down too much.

Going lower is not going to solve it, I mean if you stick to 800 to 900 you would definitely lose weight but you may experience adaptations that will cause further weight loss to be even more difficult, have lower energy levels, and lose muscle mass. Muscle mass that is precious for your metabolism and to maintain the fat loss. Not all weight loss is good.

Serious progress!! You are kickin ass! So many gym days!! I don’t know how you do it 😔 Calorie wise I did pretty good on thanksgiving but ate terrible up until today 🙃

Thanks, Dawnie! It happens! As for the gym, I'm at a point in my life where I finally have more time for me. Work is usually cooperative and I can fit the gym in. Just need to rearrange my schedule. Definitely watching less television these days.

Thanks, Melissa! It's crazy to me how much different I look. Yesterday someone at work who I see 3x a week said -have you lost weight since I last saw you ? I said- since last week? maybe 1/4 of a pound but nearly 60 so far. 😜 It was strange like she just suddenly noticed. But it feels good to look so much better- as you can attest to yourself. ❤️💪🏼
