Woodwheel's Journal, 08 March 2013

I'm 69 and despite, after retiring, completing a degree in English, I have steadily put on weight. At 65 I weighed around 80 kilos. It had gradually risen to ninety five. I felt heavy, looked heavy and was running out of clothes. In order to avoid buying a new suit for my graduation, decided to loose weight and chose the 5-2 fasting programme. I went from 95 to 85 kilos from August to November and got into my suit(just - still a bit tight)
I spent December and January with my sister in Australia and goodness they can eat. I am now back in the UK and feel it is now time to try and get to my 'ideal' weight. I believe about 75 kilos.
I love sugary foods and so I thought exposing my efforts to 'public' scrutiny would act as an incentive to help me to refrain from indulging on the '5' normal days.
