As of yesterday, I have lost a total of 30 pounds from my highest weight of 212 last September (25 of those pounds since May)! I feel so grateful and amazed. My weight stayed up for so long I started to feel like I couldn't lose it. It was hard for me when I was trying to only eat limited amounts of everything and track it all. I went over almost everyday because carb calories add up so quickly! Doing a keto diet was eye opening for me; how quick and easy the weight seemed to come off. For me, it was easier to say "I can't have that" and have it be off-limits. It was shocking how much of the other stuff I could eat once the carbs were controlled. I found that when I did eat the carb foods, I didn't enjoy them as much; they didn't taste quite as good as I remembered.

So 182 is my lowest weight in five years. I spent my whole adult life from 22 years old at more than 185 pounds. I lost 30 pounds about 6 years ago and kept it off for about a year and a half but it was a struggle. This feels like it is going to be easier. I feel more satisfied. I have a different weapon in the arsenal.

I am trying to wrap my head around where I actually am with my weight. This puts me back to where I was when I graduated college 32 years ago. When I got married at 18, I weighed 145 pounds. I am tempted to change my goal weight, but I want to see my progress bar turn blue before I change the goal to something that seems so far away. I am excited and apprehensive to see where I can go with this. Between the regular exercise and the Keto-style diet, I can't wait to see how far I can go!
