178! Down 1.6 this week! =) Total of 30 pounds lost to date...28 more to go! AND…only 2 more pounds until I hit my wedding weight!!!!! =)
I was excited to step on the scale this morning and find that I was down from Saturday's challenge weigh in! First time since I started the challenge…as my pattern seems to be weighing less on Saturdays…then come Monday for my official weigh in I'm typically up by a little. I was also excited, because I was sooooo worried that my night of splurging on Saturday night would come back and bite me in the butt! Could be that all the walking on Saturday (did 200 minutes worth) offset it! Dunno…but who cares! I'm down! Wooo hooo! =)
Saturday night we met some friends out for dinner (had to "shoot up" in the car with my fertility medicine….I can only imagine what passers by were thinking!! But…what can you do as my window is from 8:30-10pm EST, so we took them at 8:30 before going in for dinner). First off….I haven't had a martini in sooooo long! This place has some of the best martini's I've ever had! I kept mine to only one…but I could have easily had soooo much more as they were so tasty! I did take a sip of the others just to try them! =) Mine was a Caramel Apple Martini (SOOOO GOOD!), it was like an appletini…but had caramel in the glass, with a grannysmith apple circle floating in the drink. For dinner I tried to make the best choices possible (and had prepared for the night, by eating really low points during the day to "bank" some points). Hubby and I split Sautéed Insalata Pomodoro (Sliced tomatoes lightly sautéed with fresh mozzarella, basil, red onions, spiced, and extra virgin olive oil. Topped with shaved parmesan.) The serving size was HUGE, and I was concerned about the cheese…but overall the tomatoes outweighed the cheese. =) Had a salad with Parmesan Peppercorn dressing on the side, and then had Chicken Piccata (Boneless chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms and capers, in a lemon white wine sauce served over angle hair pasta). I ended up only eating just under 1/2 of the dinner (portions were really large!).
I felt guilty not taking the rest home, but honestly I didn't want either of us to be tempted, because in the past, not only could I have eaten the whole thing, but I would have had some of the hubby's….and would have ordered dessert too! This was the first time since joining FatSecret, that we "threw caution to the wind" and said, lets have fun, and not worry too much about what we were going to eat tonight. The next day we got right back on track (guess it’s a good thing to have the weigh in's for us to be first thing Monday morning, otherwise we might not be as good about getting back on track!)
Also want to say, Hiiiiiiiii to Mom #2! =) My mother-in-law, Flowerpower, just joined this site yesterday, and even though she claims not to be too computer literate…she has already gone in, put in her weight…AND has also recorded her breakfast! Nice job mom! =) =) We can do this! Pop over and say hi to her if you can, she is a great, fun person to get to know! =)
Now I need to get to reading some of the other journals, to see what everyone else did over the weekend! Have a great Monday! =)
