Has anyone made a chaffle? It’s egg + cheese in the shape of a waffle. 291 calories for 2 waffles as bread substitute...thinking of trying it this weekend. Regular bread is 120-180 cal/ 2 slices though...

I was browsing recipes for this last night. Tried it once, huge mess. Realized it should be 'half' the mixture to avoid that overflow. I nearly threw my waffle iron away. But I'm going to try again.

Some people add ground pork rind for a more bread like texture. I’m going to borrow a waffle iron to try this.

I tried chaffle. It was a failure. Wonder what I did wrong. Pork rinds and cheddar will make it very salty. Not sure if i am up for that

My friend used 2tbs pork panko, 1egg, .5 cup of shredded mozzarella to make 2 waffles. Maybe look for low sodium cheese?
