Are you a Morphin Addict without being aware of your condition? Gluten turn into GluteoMorphin, and Casein turn into CasoMorphin in the body. So maybe that pizza craving is nothing more than a need to shoot up with Morphin. Probably would be better to have a controlled doze of Morphin instead. Morphin patch maybe. Anyway, good to be aware of these few words.

Reflecting on this gives me an understanding of why I ended up in Obesity Class III. I was basically a Morphin addict. I used bread as a way to sleep at night. Loved Gluten. Loved Dairy. Could drink a gallon of skimmed milk some days. I recently gained weight on Yoghurt. Now Project Anti-Addiction is on. I'll kill those bastards that put such a damper on most of my life. Been there, done that, and not something to repeat.

We think alike. Where did you read about this?

erikahollister All over the place really. Those key words bring up a lot of interesting reading material. These drugs from food is also connected to child diseases. Pretty gruesome stuff.

Milk = same. It may not be the pizza so much as the cheese on the pizza. Turns out that researchers have known since the 1980s that cheese actually contains small amounts of morphine—yes, the very same drug given in hospitals as a hardcore pain relief. It's not added by evil dairy farmers intent on securing their financial futures though, as is actually found naturally in both cow and human milk—which might explain a lot to new mothers who are having trouble shaking off their offspring.

Those addicted to sausages and chocolate might also find their soft spot for cheese familiar too—this is due to the phenylethylamine chemical which is an amphetamine used in diet pills to simulate the happy feelings you normally get from eating a bar of the brown stuff.

Maybe put more focus on the nicotine addiction and quit worrying so much about food.

Diablo360x Have you ever been in the Obese Class III category? My assumption is that if you have not,it would be hard to understand what's going on.

I've been obese, idk what class III would be.

Either way, it would be nice if you could share some science on your thinking with some of these posts or at least say they are your hypotheses if you don't have any. The fear-mongering around things like fructose and comparing carbs to drugs is getting out of hand.

Diablo360x Since I am not a paid scientist, I do not take time out of my day to add a bunch of links. I share what my conclusion is after reading a bunch of stuff that rings true to me who have experienced being on the path to obesity more than once. It is merely meant as a 'read nore' on your own time if my conclusion bring interest.

Diablo360x I can look back at things like. Why did I get fat, when all I did was to replace black coffee with a 3-in-1 coffee. Those 100 calories could not answer for the rapid weight gain. Now this is simple for me. I had some Fructose that doubled my appetite. Next, why did I get fat earlier this year. All I ate was meat and eggs. Now this is simple to me too. There was Fructose in the 100% meat sausages I ate. I could easily eat three of those. With my own fructose free sausages I can only eat one. Most of the time only half a sausage. Add to this a scientific experiment that proved the appetite effect of Fructose, and I had enough to conclude a truth that apply to me. In my lab, the body I live in.

Typical for Dr. Diablo, he likes to comment on other people's journals where he prescribes his unsolicited advice because you're either with him and his methods, where you receive the support of him and his crew (who may or may not show up momentarily, or later), or everything you post is a direct affront and challenge to their lifestyle choices and you're too dumb to comprehend the simple truths of their absolute knowledge. There is no room in your journal for your own thoughts, heaven forbid someone might glean an ounce of insight from your personal journey, it is, after all, all about them and their quest to spread the truth about weight loss as they see it. Well, I say screw all that, I found your post interesting and insightful and I appreciate you sharing your journey and what you've learned along the way!

Ok, sounds pretty individual and it's good that you found one of your triggers. Fruit is one of my savings graces. It allows me to snack on low calorie fibrous foods that stave off a calorie surplus.

Don't insult me by reducing me to a doctor. They only spend 5% of their schooling on nutrition. They are pretty smart and great at extracting money from people who would rather follow hypotheses over the science that is readily available, though. I'll give them that.

Btw, this is a public area and he can always turn off commenting. No need to whiteknight for him.

Why should people have to turn off commenting to hostile comments when it's just as easy for the ones that feel compelled to make the hostile comments can just keep effin' scrolling?

Hostile? There you go again. You have a skewed perception of reality. Your mind runs wild.

Dr. Diablo, the fact that you don't know the meaning of Obese Class III speaks volumes. Instead of bombarding someone's thoughtful journal post with your judgmental, crude commentary, why don't you just make your own journal post? That way I can just scroll on by ;) Diddlee, thanks for the information. I now have some researching to do :) I wish you continued success!

I've eaten large amounts of fruit all my life, and I've been obese about 30 of those 76 years. While I do think eating large amounts of refined sugar makes me crave more, I have never experienced that effect from eating fruit, bread, rice, potatoes or, actually, any other foods. Perhaps different foods cause cravings in different people. We certainly know that alcohol causes cravings in some people and not others, so why not fructose, or gluten, or lactose? Phil and Diablo, I think you are both great guys, but I really wish you two could walk away from each other in peace. It would be so nice if you two agreed to disagree and then just let it go. We are all seeking ways to live our best lives, can we not do so in harmony here on FS? 💜💛💚

Show some posts where I've done in random other people's journals what Diablo did in this thread, Shirfleur. I'll wait. Now I did qualify that with a caveat; I have posted in Diablo's journal the way he posts in anyone with whom he disagrees, so his journal don't count.
