I am SOOO tempted to eat over my RDI right now! I took my sleep (HA) meds 3-1/2 hours ago! Took another half one 1-1/2 hours ago, and then two OTHER pills about 45 minutes ago. Still awake, and I want to get up and EAT! I've got my RDI set at 1800 right now, and I've had 1797 calories today. Anybody know anything DELICIOUS and filling for only 3 calories? I'm really struggling here! If I go and eat another orange, it will ONLY make me miss my RDI goal. BUT, one transgression can lead to many, many more. Do I chance it? Do I eat the dad-blamed orange? Do I take yet ANOTHER something to make me sleep? SIGH

Sugar and carbs trigger cravings and depression. It's tough to stay away from them. I too am struggling with cravings because I had a little splurge a couple of days ago. I thought on maintenance I would be able to have some splurges but maybe I won't be able to if I can't handle strong cravings for ahhhh....how long? The more sugar and carbs we have, the more we make trouble for ourselves.

There are a number of "Sleepy Time" Tea's on the market. Just a suggestion. There's also Melatonin (which doesn't seem to do anything for me, but my sister swears by it)

I took melatonin once, @jeannieselby, and I will NEVER do it again! I had the worst nightmares I've ever had in my life, ALL night long -- I really didn't think I was going to live through the night I was so terrified every time I fell asleep. Maybe I'll start incorporating the sleepy time teas, though. Thanks for the suggestions.
