Lotus's Journal, 09 May 2008

Well, i said I'd reset goal if I got to 118-ish, but I didn't think it would come so soon..I went ahead and rest for 115 or should I say skinny jeans weight? I might regret it but oh well. :) I know that I have already reached my original goal, I don't need a blue line to reassure me. Beside I always knew 115 was my true goal, but it seemed unattainable at the beginning to this process.
The trickiest part will be transitioning to maintanance calories..I'm scared guys.. I would like to talk to others that are maintaining without wild fluctuations, because it messes with my mind too much to go way up and down. How do you find that perfect level where you are consuming as much as you burn and stay the same?
I am less sore today but still a little achy in my hips and knees. Yoga is needed bad! Walking is a great way to shape up the lower body fast. My hips and thighs are where I carry a lot of my weight, and it's the last place to lose, but it's coming off! Extra jiggle on thighs and hips are the only thing keeping me from those skinny jeans.
Man I want to go shopping so bad guys. I went into Old Navy the other day to get Kaelyn asome clothes, and it was so hard not to look at clothes for me. Seriously it is torture, I love Old Navy. I didn't have enough money to get anything and very little time, so I didn't want to torture myself further by browsing, but dang! I haven't bought anything new since last October!! All the clothes i bought then are way too big now, and the other half of my wardrobe doesnt quite fit comfortably yet. I have a few clothes in between, but I end up wearing the crappiest ones on a daily basis so I don't wear out my "good" clothes. OI. I miss the days when would go shopping several times a month for clothes and makep.
I know it's trivial and selfish, but it does make you feel better to have clothes than aren't worn out.
Hopefully I will be able to get a few things soon. I need to just start getting one item at a time when we go to Walmart, not that Walmart has great clothes, but they have some good things. Maybe I can get started on a summer wardrobe that way.
Well, I'm up earlier today, so coffee is waiting on me. I'll be checking in today, but I have a bit of negleted housework to do..:X.
Hopefully I can get it out of the way early cuz it's going to be another pretty day, clear and sunny, not too hot. I need to take full advantage of nice weather, as you never know how long it will last, and the scorching Texas summertime heat is just around the corner! I dread it! Have a great day everyone! :)

Gee, I'd tell ya to come talk to me about maintaining, as I seem to have friggin' mastered it somehow, but I wouldn't ask me, as I don't know how!! lol One thing at a time is how I usually have to rebuild up my "timeless" wardrobe that is timeless... as they seem to stand the test of time and I wear them year after year after friggin year! Can't wait to get down to size where I'll 'need' to get more updated clothes as they'll actually GO out of style! lol Keep on kickin' it girly... you're rockin' the caz bah! ZiP! Zap! BOOM!! lol :)

Actually before when I regained, it was due to eating too little calories ALL the time, around 100-1250, with a planned cheat day every two weeks. Well the cheat days became more and more frequent, and soon turned into bingeing regularly, at first a couple times a week, then almost daily! I yo-yoed for a long time, and my weight kept going up and up. I didn't realize how great of a deficit I really had. I thought I HAD to keep my calories that low to stay at that weight! Keep in mind I was doing an hour of Taebo and walking 5 miles daily AND breastfeeding! AAHH! I was practically starved! No wonder I got so out of control with my eating! Glad I know better this time around!

I'm going to work on your poem this weekend! You're doing brilliantly! The clothes...I dont know how you feel about it or if you have good options there, but the Goodwill and Savers here, have a certain tag color that is 99cents on Mondays. I go every Monday and buy clothes! I get dresses and skirts and jeans, some with the tags on them...for 99cents a piece! I didn't want to pay a lot of money for clothes when I was changing sizes and when I can get CUTE and NICE clothes from the Gap, Old Navy, Abercrombie and so forth...for 99 cents..I'll do it and wear it with a smile! I get compliments all the time on my clothes and more often than not because of the size changes, its something from Savers or Goodwill. I got about a 80 dollar new pair of Steve Madden shoes for...you guessed it, 99 cents. I know alot depends on the area you're in for the donations they receive but the stores by me are awesome. But I think you deserve some new stuff anyway...you deserve it and it always makes us feel so pretty! Love ya!

Yayaya! I have to agree... I went to our goodwill for pants the last few sizes. It's much less painful to spend $5 on a decent pair of slacks or jeans. Find out when their discount day is and have at it! :)
