I’m not 100% sure when I started this current journey, but I’ve been saying May for some time. I’ve told my wife that I was going to commit to a healthier me for a year to see what happens.
I’ve lost 45 lbs since last may. That feels good. I’ve gained muscle and fit into jeans I had from the last big loss (3 years ago). I’m in pretty good shape. I can run a mile (without hurting myself most days) and lift pretty good weight.
I’m doing it for me this time. My previous weight losses have mostly been because of relationship issues. Divorce dropped 60 lbs, another time I got to 246. This time... it’s all about me. I want to be healthy. I want to lose fat and gain muscle. I want to look good for me.
