Ha, joke's on me, I guess. Remember my nice post about how content I was at my current weight and that I didn't care if I lost the last 7 lbs?
So... I woke up yesterday morning and stepped on the scale. I stepped off, waited for it to clear, then stepped on again. NO WAY! Suddenly, those pesky 2 lbs that have been bouncing back and forth for the past 3 months, FINALLY got offended and left and they took a buddy! Yahoo!
Then this morning I got on the scale again (because I'm a little obsessive, but I keep it in check <grins>). Yep, gone.
I still stand by what I said. I am happy with me and really, this is just a new number (although I *do* like numbers...) and nothing real has changed in me. I am still wearing the perfect size for me and very happy with my clothes and how they fit. I love my energy levels and my ability to go to bed tired at night because I worked hard or played hard, not because I exhausted myself just moving me from the sofa to the bathroom to the kitchen and back.
Yesterday, I taught my second granddaughter (age 7) to ride a bicycle without training wheels. Then I played a game of freeze tag in the park with a 30 something Dad, his 10 and 8 year old daughters, and my granddaughter. I played and played like a kid! I even fell down and got grass stains on my knees. THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly WHY I wanted my health back. I have a great life to lead and I just needed the energy to enjoy it.
