I am putting myself up to the Healthy Wage challenge to lower my BMI from OBESE to HEALTHY by the end of the year. If I succeed, I will earn $100. If I decide to invest $300 in addition to my time and efforts, I will be awarded $1000 instead of $100 by Healthy Wage. So, yes...I would like to earn some cash by changing my dietary and active lifestyle. Plus it will be good for my heart & wardrobe. Someday, I would like to be able to wear boots that goes over my calves or have the towels provided at the gym wrap around my belly.
5'5" + 212lbs = BMI 36.4
Per Web MD, my caloric intake should be 1760 if I am to lose 1lb a week and be lightly active. Goal is to weigh 135 by the end of the year.
I am hoping I will lose a bit more than a 1lb a week because I plan to be a lot more active in 2013 than I was in previous years.

I believe that the more exposed I am about my goals, the more incentives I have to keep them.
I really really want to be able to wear boots that goes over my calves without having to special order them.
