Well I guess I have figured out how to maintain my weight. I have been sitting here at 159.5 for a week. Its not because I hit a stall, it's because I have made choices that don't promote loss. I knew I was doing it when I was doing it, I knew what the results were going to be. I just need to take a rest from lose, lose, lose. I continued to watch what I was eating and have gotten a peek at what I will need to do when I hit my goal weight. I have a new confidence because of this little experiment. I never left the fitness train during this experiment, I still exercised daily at the level I want to maintain for life, I just ate a little differently, not even so much differently as I increased my calories a little and instead of calorie checking before I ate I counted up my calories after I ate them or at the end of the day. My calorie counts may not be as accurate as they were prior to the last week but I wanted to see if I would be able to maintain my weight. Now that I know that I can I am back on the loss plan with a renewed confidence that I will reach my goals on the fitness train. I not only want to loose the weight but I want to be as strong and fit as I can be as well, I have a vision of what I want to look like and I will get there!

That sounds awesome. Very motivating for me to read about you staying fit.

I think I just needed a break, but I didn't want to lose the ground I had gained. So much going on in my life right now, and some of them have to do with having goals realized, and setting new goals. Most are fitness/health related. I know I prattled on yesterday about my martial arts stuff, but in a strange way it does have to do with the journey I am currently on. Had it not been for the changes that have taken place inside of me due to martial arts I doubt if I would have come to where I am now on being healthy and fit. I know that martial arts was the key to finally quit smoking for me. (It helped me find my inner strength so to speak, and made me aware of my body in a whole new way). I am just greatful that I am where I am. We have a saying at the dojo: wherever you are, be THERE. It truly helps. :)
