ever notice something about yourself - something new? - that you never noticed before?... no matter how many compliments I receive regarding my weight loss - I saw my reflection in the glass doors walking into Walmart the other day - and to me - I still look fat!

I have a "self-image" problem.

Note to self: work on this :)))

it's good in a way, unless you're anorexic of course because once we think we're looking too good, we stop trying as hard.

Yes I find the same thing Paula and also agree with Ronnie. Sometimes I feel like I am looking kinda fab and then I see reflection and think well actually you are still in need of losing some. I think self image is good to work on but also good to keep your goals in mind and cling to that slim self. I don't want to be a 10 I want to be a 6!

Yes & No, I found that when I lean over my loose skin kind of sags in my tummy and of course my upper arms. That wasn't a problem when I was FAT since FAT was filling in the skin! So I need to work on my toning. BUT I do like my smile in the mirror now (do it every morning) I have smile lines which show my age but also my happiness from within ;-) Are you still with your mom & sisters? How is it going? take care, Joyce

yes, still here - will be for a few weeks. I find this whole self image thing kinda daunting. I like most things about me. But I don't like the way I look. I try to avoid mirrors. When I am not looking at myself - I think, 'hey, I look pretty good' - but when I do actually see myself, I think 'hey, who are you kiddin' - you're still fat!' My upper body is not bad - but my legs (my thighs) are out of proportion to the rest of me (in my opinion) - and they make me look bigger. I still have a roll that sticks out when I sit down that I try to cover w/ a loose shirt, etc... I hate that stuff. I hate feeling like I have to walk around sucking it all in - all the time. I am evening wondering if 140 is the right "goal weight" for me - as I picked it out of thin air. Maybe 135 would be better, or 125 ??? I don't know, I just know I am not happy about how I look. Happier than before - but not all the way there yet, for sure.
