I can't believe it! I'm down another 3.1 pounds this week…which is amazing seeing how I had my husbands surprise birthday party on Saturday, tempting food (especially his mom's Molasses Cake!), drinks, BUT…I managed not to go overboard, which has always seemed to be my downfall in the past. I didn't deprive myself, but I did have the portions I would normally have. I did have some gorgonzola/hazelnut stuffed mushrooms (only had 2) , and this really yummy spinach artichoke appetizer that was spread over a Pillsbury crescent roll (only had 1!). I think the saving grace for me was that his mome ended up making cupcakes, instead of a whole cake…and she even made mini-cupcakes as a joke to my hubby, because we are doing WW….and that’s what I ended up having…just a bite size one…which surprisingly was satisfying =) I also made Chicken Marbella, Tilapia, plain risotto, mushroom risotto, asparagus, mandarin orange/almond salad, fruit, shrimp…yeah…it was definitely a feast…all for about 27 people. That probably also helped me keep on track, because I was running around in a 2 hour period as soon as I got hubby out of the house (sent him out for a birthday golf lesson)….so I'm sure I burned calories then! After all the commotion with his birthday, I am thrilled that I lost over 3 pounds! I'm now at 191.5…for a total of 16.5 pounds lost so far....maybe next week I'll be in the 180's! =) Have a great Monday!
