Hi All,
I LOVE my carbs. Can someone please give me some advice on how to change my eating
habits? What proteins/foods can I eat instead of eating carbs all the time. I'm really trying to cut down on my carbs. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks!

Start simple. Cut down your calories, eat more chicken and fish type foods. I still eat some carbs and stuff like that but I limit myself to 1800 calories a day. Hope this helps. I've seen improvements in my first week so far. I also do high intensity cardio workouts as well. The key is in my opinion is just don't make yourself miserable...

How many calories do you need daily to maintain your current weight? Find out! Subtract 4-500 calories from that amount! Preferably calories of those in the area of processed carbs and sugars. Much as I like to wave the KETO diet flag, I’m more a believer of portion control and healthy amounts of all food groups and a solid calorie deficit. If it don’t go in, you don’t need to burn it off! Lol. Good Shedding!

I second watching portion sizes, that was my first step. Second was making sure I was eating healthier carbs. I still eat oatmeal and bread, I skip sugary snacks and white bread.

Investigate Keto and Intermittent Fasting. Downsizing carbs is hard but Keto gives you the tools and science on how to make the transition less painless and why it is important to be eating a low carb meal plan for health and longevity. "Fasting" scared me to death - I am a serious foodie ... the idea of "fasting" was the opposite of what I wanted in my life. Turns out it is the best thing ever and only adds to the quality of my life and my enjoyment of food. Not only is it a major tool in helping me opt for healthy eating and better tasting food, but it also help me stop the constant hunger and craving for carbs that carb consumption generates - that vicious circle was broken and I am no longer a slave to food but the master of it.

I suggest you do some research on weight loss diets— the quick and dirty. Read what they require of you , the limitations or restrictions they impose on your lifestyle and assess your personal commitment to getting it done. While you are researching you might begin by eating fewer processed food, fewer sugars, eat high quality lean meat and lower glycemic fruits and vegetable and nuts and grains for fiber. Then, make a decision as to what way of eating might be a good fit for you and gives you the greatest chance for success. Also develope a daily activity plan to help increase your fitness level and increase muscle to help burn those calories. Good luck to you. Quite a few success stories here.
