I love writing in my journal at the start of a new day. It feels so fresh, and alive with possibilities - the day that is.
So what to do with my day today? Well, for starters - I will accept that I am not alone on this planet, and the world does NOT revolve around me. I am but a speck of sand, a vapor in the wind - but I am here, alive in this world, and with a purpose in life. Can I use the power of one to make a difference today? We shall see...
I will purpose myself to LOVE MUCH today. Why today? Because none of us are promised tomorrow. And if this is my last day on earth, I will live my life with intention! With a directed effort to LOVE today. And I will find ways to receive love graciously. Open myself to the possibilities that not all relationships will hurt or harm me. I will give of myself - lavishly, to others - and rest in the knowledge that I will reap what I sow.
I will purpose myself to LAUGH OFTEN today. Why today? Because tomorrow will be too late. Fun comes our way by surprise - a joke, an awkward moment, a deliberate effort to join in human relationships - either way...I will laugh and enjoy the JOY in my life TODAY. I will smile at myself...(a new found activity I like), and I will smile at others.
And I will be an encourager today! Because others have encouraged me!! I will lend my efforts to supporting someone in need. I will comfort someone who is hurting. I will be compassionate, understanding, and a good listener today.
Ok, that's alot on my plate...so time to get to it. Have a day filled with possibilities! Love. Laugh. Live.
