I eat enough cauliflower that hopefully it counters the bacon :)
Great chart and grateful list!!

Thank you for sharing that poster. Lately, I have been able to find a bigger variety of the cured meats without the nitrates (preservatives that have been liked to cancer).

I've never heard of soursop or noni. I eat crackers and bacon in small amounts on occasion but haven't had the other things on the bad side in years. Congrats on wearing the small pants! That's gotta feel good :)

The left side looks sooooooooooooooooo tasty. Gahdangit. Now to figure out a way to use healthy alternatives to mimic that carb loaded tasty badness... Wait a sec! Bacon's not bad! Just get the low sodium version and you're golden :D

Love those smaller pants. Whole Foods has bacon that is uncured and low sodium. I have tried both because they were out of the low sodium one day. You would think that the "uncured" part would make a difference when cooked but it was actually the low sodium that didn't fry up crisply like the reg. sodium version. Love that chart. I'm with Evelyn...never heard of soursop or noni. HMMMMM???

Awesome that you got into the smaller size and you are WEARING them. Your chart is simple and effective. I didn't know Cookies caused cancer - especially not the Vegan Chocolate Chip ones from Trader Joe's. THOSE cause cancer? Now that is DEPRESSING. Progress not perfection!

Thanks for posting those charts! I had no idea about saltine crackers! I've eaten alot of those in the past! Most everything else was not real surprising but the crackers were! Hooray for wearing your "small" pants!!! :)

Thank heavens chocolate wasn't on the bad side, lol! I have to believe that home made whole grain cookies made with wholesome ingredients can't be that bad (only thing on the bad side that I must occasionally have, or perish, lol)... I'd guess that the saltines are bad because most of them are made with trans fat, a no-no.
Absolutely lovely that you wore your "small" pants to work today! You are AWESOME!

Oh no, I can't live without bacon!!! Seriously though, I think moderation is key. Congratulations on wearing your smaller pants now. :)

I find that the more whole foods I eat (even carbs, like sweet potatoes), the less total calories I eat and the more total micronutrients. Coincidence? I think not! Consider the minimum number of ingredients present in the left-hand list vs. the right-hand list. I wonder if an effective diet "rule" must be you can't eat anything with more than 4 ingredients? I know that's not quite right, (since my kickass homemade vanilla ice cream only has 4), but you get the idea...
