I've just done our weekly shop and it went well....do you find that it's actually cheaper when you are eating healthily? I don't know why - fresh food isn't so cheap but somehow when I get to the checkout I've usually managed to to keep the price down....maybe it's actually having the shopping list and not just picking stuff up as I go?

ANyway, I've got stuff in to make the sweet potato and chilli soup and also leek and potato soup as well. I may do that today. I got a stir fry, we're having the risotto tonight and ingredients for the lentil and veg curry as well. Sounds like a yummy week :)

My friend has postponed my hair appointment with her until Thursday. She hasn't been well over the weekend so I'll have to wait a few more days - I'm sure I'll manage! Yes, I will try to post a picture once it's done!!

Right, I'm off to sort the chickens out and to see if there are any eggs to be collected!!!

Have a wonderful Monday everyone.

Having a grocery list to follow definitely helps keep costs down but I also think that the processed foods are more expensive. They may appear to be cheaper but when you consider how many servings they actually have, the fresh and healthy ingredients usually win out. Either way, you pay more with your health when you buy the processed stuff so price is only relative. I'd forgotten about the chickens for while. How are they doing now that they've had a while to settle in? Are their feathers filling out nicely? You should post a before and after picture of them once they are fully recouperated. You have a wonderful Monday, too!

I'm spending less, because I am eating less processed foods and less in general. I love chickens! love the new userpic too :)
