I'm dropping fast now. My size 14s are hanging on me, except for the ones that are too tight. Who decides what size a piece of women's clothing will be? I can wear something from size 10-12-14-16. So what size do I say I wear? Certainly not a 10, and most of the time not a 16.
Date last night was perfect, such an interesting and intelligent man, very attentive and present. I'm sure there will be more, I would like to see him again, and it was clear that he would like to continue. On to the next...I'm not a big fan of this kind of serial dating, but I think it is healthy for me for now to keep it light with a few until I am sure I want to be exclusive with just one of them. Ok, let me have it!

How exciting! I am glad you had a good date. I completely agree with you about keeping it light as long as everyone is on the same page. I know what you mean about the sizes, too. I am just as confused. Speaking of which, maybe I could meet you somewhere to pick up clothes tomorrow? I was thinking of heading your way to check in on my family anyways.

Tomorrow is good, give me a call. I'm going hiking in the early morning, and then I have a lunch date with last night's guy, so afternoon is good.

I am so excited to hear you had a positive experience and a repeat date in process - I really do get how difficult it can be to be vulnerable (doctor jerk) and tske the risk. You are intelligent, successful and attractive as you are today - so do not let anyone trample on you. I also believe in dating two or three people at the same time during this phase so I agree totally with your plan - this helps keep it casual and gives time to really know if there is a "spark" or not.

so glad you had a good experience with this one! Whew...
I agree on the size thing...I bought a shirt before I started losing weight...didn't try it on (bought it because it was a Seattle Mariners shirt...love my M's lol), and it did look small - promptly hung it in my closet, and didn't even remember it was there until the other day - I was shocked when I tried it on - I've got a few more pounds to go before I'll be more comfortable wearing it...when I said it looked small, I was right! it was marked 2x --- it fits like about a 14!!! 30+ lbs ago, it would have looked painted on lol...I can wear it now, just have to 'suck in the gut' a little more than is comfortable hehe
Details on the next date!! Have fun - Sue

glad your date went well and a 2nd one is lined up. i should see if my most promising prospect is still free next weekend. it's alot harder meeting up when you live 5 hours apart! also the sizing, sounds like were are in exactly the same place! it's the vanity sizing in a few stores that throws it off. one time I had to buy a size 7 shorts. (yes i was/am still shopping in the juniors dept. i was never skinny enough to wear them when i was that age). i pulled an 11 and a 9, the sales girl said i should try the 7. i didn't believe her.
