It was a bit of a bad weekend for me. I did some organizing and cleaning out on Friday afternoon and Saturday I woke to some terrible lower back pain that shot down the fronts of my legs. It has been building again over the last week or so, but really was bad Saturday. I took 800 mg of Ibuprophen and that seemed to aleviate it for the most part. I have a herniated disc that has reared it's ugly head. I really don't want surgery. I have some pain again this morning and popped some more Ibuprophen and I am going to go to Curves this morning. I have been doing some floor ab excercises in the evenings, I don't know if that is contributing to this or not. Oh well, I am going to try to work through it and figure out what flares it up the most and stear clear. I don't want to cut back on excercise.

Sorry to hear about your back pain. I have suffered from that quite a lot in the past. I had good success with a chiropractor over the years and lately I found that a partial inversion I learned in yoga where I put my legs up the wall and rest my lower back on a wooden yoga block does the trick whenever I feel a little pinch. Ab work can definitely agravate the lower back even though the stronger muscles will eventually help it. Kind of a catch 22. But there are ways to work around it. Good luck with your workout at Curves.
