I started Jenny Craig about a month ago and it's been going ok; I've lost 17 or 18 lbs so far, depending on the time of day :) It has been hard for me to kick up the exercise. This weekend I let my sister-in-law talk me into hot yoga and I've been exorcising bad "chi" out of my body ever since--it seems to be fighting it's way out by way of a persistent headache and body aches as finely tuned, as say, one's tiny pinky finger so sore she can barely lift it. Seriously, I have a child and I think birthing him was easier than an hour of hot yoga. I'm not sure if that is going to be a repeat for me, but never say never. The upshot--in that single blow to my body's water : other stuff ratio--I tihnk I lost 3 lbs. I think I'll stick to the treadmill for the rest of the week. I've found that working out 3-4 times a week has helped stimulate higher-than-average weight loss. I think it will get more challenging, though, when I get down about 20 more lbs.

Congratulations on the weight loss, the baby, and being retired! By the way, I gained 120 lbs during my last pregnancy. But was lucky in that all but 10 lbs of that disappeared in 8 weeks. Everything else, I've gained by being a munchie couch potato!
