You can buy bone broth. I use it in place of chicken or beef broth/stock. I have bought the FIRE AND kettle Brand from the internet for a couple of years and now they sell it at Sprouts. Trader Joe’s now sells their own brand at half the price and I think it works fine. Lots of collogen protein in it. It is not just for my cooking, but also part of my earthquake kit. Good nutrition, fluids, easy to store and does not have to be cooked or heated if electricity/gas were not available. Here in SoCal having a campfire would not really be an option. I also store canned evaporated milk for the same reason and use it in potato soup and sauces to keep the stock rotated.

Good ideas, Kenna. Always on the lookout for good hurricane readiness foods. I'll put those on my list.

LZenn— here in SoCal we know that we have to be prepared to take care of ourselves for 3 weeks. Water and food.
