Jada Petsch's Journal, 08 September 2012

that first day back logging. plus grocery shopping yesterday and today. I feel like a recovering addict. -__- I've had a couple urges to find the nearest sweets and eats them. But I stood strong today. My 3yr old got a ring pop at checkout with her dollar, and of course that meant me eyeballing chocolate.... nope none for me. Wanted to buy icecream for me, but since I'm having a weakness for it. It's best I didn't get any. Jules got rainbow sherbet. She's into anything rainbow right now. lol. I got home from the store and had my yogurt and peach. Very satisfying. In more than one way. Filling and makes me feel great that it was healthy and not just sweet junk food. Tonight's dinner is salad topped with chicken. :3 Going to follow that up with some hot tea to help with my sweets craving in the evening. My body is like 'Suuuuuuuugar...you know you want it' and my mind is like 'Nuuuuuuuuuuo. Going to be good. F you!' Lots of store walking today. And cleaning. Looking forward to the cold front that's moving my way!! :3 Coooler weather!! OH yeah!!! I'm hoping it cools down enough to get in a great walk in the morning or evening for one or two days. Still having temps in the 90ish here with high humidity. ugh. And it'd be nice to open up all the windows and air the house out. :3 Always feel spunky when it's 65-75ish outside. makes me just want to get outside and walk and enjoy the loveliness.

Me too! I feel like a recovering addict... although, I can't really say I'm recovering right now... lol I just need to get back to having a couple of days of eating healthier and I should be better. I hope it's cooler there now.. it's cooler here, which has been really nice! A/C is good, but I do prefer having the windows open!

It is nice to see you back Jada! Seems like you are taking big steps in the right direction. I found some Arctic Zero chocolate ice cream at Whole Foods that has minimal calories for emergency sugar. I try to leave enough calories so at the end of the day I have room for 1/3 serving of my Ghiradelli dark chocolate. One little square really helps me stave off the major scarfolla. :) Safeway stores also carry a delicious fat free chocolate frozen yogurt.

I hear you Brandy. I've been able to open my windows in the morning here, but still have to turn the a/c on around 11am and for the rest of the day. It's been in the mid upper 80's at the high points. :) Which is waaaaay better than the 100+ days. ugh. I've been on and off again for awhile Neptune!! Just trying to stick with it. Way off today. -_- Made sausage balls...and just yeah. Didn't do my scheduled snacks/meals. Only one that was on target was breakfast. Calorie wise? Probably about par for the day. Nutrion wise?? meh at best. They started out as good thing to take to my neighbor. I told myself going into it. Only one from each batch....then just went overboard with it. Total made: 7 dozen tastey double bite size morsels. Took about 1.5 dozen to my neighbor along with my sunday paper (she likes the tv guide from it. and I just toss it in the recycle pile) I still have a bunch left over. But between mostly me and my 3yr old we ate a good bit of them. O.O Going to have 4-5 for breakfast tomorrow. They're roughly 50 cals each. (did the math on the cals) and made of sausage, biscuit and cheese.
