Didn't log any food today. Kept my fast until 130pm - that was the only good thing.

Broke the fast with 2 glasses of rum punch, popcorn, chips, and some warm appetizers.

Followed that with dinner at Chinese Buffet - plate of cold shrimp, seafood sauce, 6 California sushi rolls, 3 shrimp rice rolls, plate of chop suey, chilli chicken, egg roll, fried rice, rice noodle, chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, followed by piece of chocolate cream pie, black forrest cake, creme brûlée, cream puff, and bowl of peach soft serve ice cream.

Okay not happy I ate all that, but also realize it was one day with some good friends - life is going to present days like this and they aren't the reasons I am in this spot - eating at fast food places for breakfast and lunch by myself is what got me in this position - total emotional eating.

Tomorrow the journey continues and it is on me to get back on track - goal tomorrow is fast until 1:00pm, than eat under 2000 calories in 8 hours. I'm here for the long haul.

Sounds good to be free as a bird on a special occasion, and to clearly see what need to be adressed on a day to day basis. Turning around habits that prove unfavourable is very doable. Just need strong focus for a bit. As time go by, the starting point get further and further behind. Good thing. Progress.

Yes it's tough with IF because you feel you've accomplished a goal by fasting, then a reward (or rewards!) is in order. I think the key to parties or buffets is to start with the healthiest choices that you love, and eat a lot of them if you need to. Then if you're still hungry or craving a sweet, go for just your favorite dessert. Also drinking lots of water before/during eating seems to help me.
