The rapid weight loss I saw last week with the bulletproof coffee has slowed, but I am continuing to start my morning with it most mornings. I like what it does to my energy level and the absence of hunger that I have when I have this for breakfast. And it is so yummy. It is hard to believe till you experience it, but when I take the lid off the blender, it is the most wonderful aroma. A little moment of heaven. :)
Been trying to get in the HIIT on my exercise bike three times a week. I had been consistently hitting 2X's per week, but I want to step it up a notch. When I first starting this, I couldn't do the full 20 minutes. I would do about 12 to 15 minutes, and be wiped out the rest of the day, and into the next day. I used to also have the resistance level 4 levels lower than I do now. So progress has been made. But I would like to push it a bit further, and see how this goes. I also started doing a plank for as long as I can hold it after the bike. So far I am still under a minute. But doing twice as long as I used to! Ya gotta start somewhere, and that's what I am doing. :)

Grateful for:
The gorgeous weather we have been blessed with the last week or so. Cool nights. Sunny days. Not as humid. Some rain here and there.

My CSA. Delicious veggies aplenty each week. This week I had a lemon cucumber in my pick-up. Never heard of it before, but fun to try new things out!

My fresh brewed glass of white chai iced tea. Yum!

My progress so far, and how committed I feel on a deep level to this new way of eating, and taking care of myself in so many other ways.

My family.

My FS buddies.

yduj57- interesting that you are motivated to push your exercise. I've been LCHF for three months but just couldn't build my stamina to push beyond a 45 minute walk. On the third day of bullet, I've more than doubled my walk. Maybe it isn't a magic bullet to weightloss directly but rather an energy boost for exercise. In any event, at this early stage it is helping me. Thanks Rory

Hi Rory, so glad to hear that you too are feeling an energy boost with the bulletproof coffee. I have found that to be the biggest benefit so far. I was dragging along, and struggling some days to just put one foot in front of the other, but since this change in my diet, it has been a big improvement. Don't know for sure, but not willing to give up this extra kick in the pants!

What is bulletproof coffee??

Hi Rubie-sue. Bulletproof coffee is a combination of black coffee, organic unsalted pasture butter (for the favorable omega 3s vs. regular butter)and either coconut oil or MCT oil blended up frothy. For people eating a low carb/high fat diet it seems to provide a boost in energy. If one is not eating LCHF I doubt they would benefit as your body needs to be adapted to get energy from fat rather than carbs to make it work (I use 2 tablespoons butter/2 tablespoons coconut oil = a 400+ calorie cup of coffee!)

perfect description aurora! And you are right that one should be fat adapted in order to have it work the way it is prescribed.
