My BG was 105 this morning, which is gooood. That's about what my Bg should be if I wasn 't diabetic II:(

K, I'm doing a little something different today. I'm lowering my carbs and seeing how my body responds. I also didn't take any meds simply because they're to process carbs which I'm not eating right now. I'm only on 500 mg of metform 2xs/day. I watched my Bg all day and it stayed about 95-100 all day. I felt energetic, strong and just plain wonderful all day. Also, interesting enough I noticed that when I poked my fingers my blood came out better and was a brighter color than normal. I seemed to have more "fluid" in my blood for lack of a better way to describe it. But then, I've had super-high cholerstorol and triglycerides since I was 30. Are my cholesterol and triglycerids coming down due to my reduction of carbs in april? Is this why my blood looks and acts differently? I've got to get to the lab and have my blood checked again.

Obviously, I will be adding carbs back in. I do love my vegies! But I need to understand what is happening to my body, what it really needs to get well. Fortunately, my doctor is very supportive. I'll be seeing him again real soon.
