Yeah broccoli has 6g carbs per cup. They can add up fast. Keep at it. I use FS diet calendar to pre-plan my meals so I know beforehand how many carbs I would be consuming and can change it.

If you are just going over a lill bit on whole carbs because of non starchy veggies, you are doing great! Do you test your ketones? (Blood ketones?)

I do plan my meals, a week in advance. Even snacks. I don't eat anything processed. I don't eat starches, breads or sugars. I eat meats; beef, fish, chicken and pork. Broccoli and green beans are my go to veggies and I eat romaine lettuce. If I'm low on carbs for the day I'll have a tablespoon or two of peanut butter (6g carbs) to bring my carbs up. I can tell when I haven't had enough carbs plus zero carbs can kill. I use heavy cream and Stevia in my coffee, which is the only sweet I have. When I test my Ketones, they hover between 15 and 40. Sometimes neutral/5 and sometime 80.

How can zero carbs "kill"? There are essential fats, essential amino acids (proteins), but so far as I have read, no essential carbs.
