A perfect morning! I am helping with the pre-graduation/hooding ceremony for our students this evening so took the morning off from work. Slept in (7:30 is really sleeping in for me!), got a good cardio/strength training workout on my elliptical, and now I am getting caught up on laundry and ironing. Ironing is almost enjoyable when you are drinking your first cup of coffee!
Today was my first exercise since a bike ride on Sunday. I need to start scheduling workouts into my calendar. It is going to be a busy month with lots of committments every weekend and I'm worried about getting miles in on my bike before TDK so it will be even more important for me to get some cardio and strength training in.
Tomorrow my oldest daughter graduates with her masters in special education. She completed all the course work in one year and had a baby! All while teaching. She has been a very busy woman. She wasn't going to go through the graduation ceremony but I strongly encouraged her to, otherwise I think you don't have that feeling of completion and sense of what you have accomplished. So we're having a dinner at our house following the ceremony; just her and Nick and my husband and I, and maybe Nick's brother and his wife also. So I'm cooking everyone's favorites today to be ready! I need to pick up some healthy foods (vegetable tray and fresh fruit) on my way home tonight to go with all the not so healthy food!
