This is what its all about! Completed my first day yesterday. Was easier than i thought it would be. Side effects were minimal just a small headache in the evening. Finished the day on 888 calories so a good start 👍🏻

863 kcal Fat: 25.27g | Prot: 104.45g | Carb: 56.32g.   Breakfast: Pure Protein Banana Whey Protein, Coffee with Milk, Time 4 Whey Protein Protein Powder. Lunch: Heinz Salad Cream, Tesco Finest Roast Ham Cooked on The Bone. Dinner: Sainsbury's Microwave Brown Rice, Princes Tuna Chunks in Sunflower Oil. Snacks/Other: Peanut Butter, Tesco Healthy Living Chocolate & Caramel Cereal Bar, Vimto Sugar Free Vimto, Golden Delicious Apples. more...

Yeah very low carb and sugar! Designed to wipe the fat away from around your liver and pancreas and basically restart them.

Great book well worth a read. Even if you don’t stick to the 800 Kcals and eat say 3 times a day from this you’ll get the same benefits fast. The accompanying recipe book is even better. I highly recommend The Clever Guts diet book to. A fascinating read too. All I will say is keep well hydrated and you will smash it 👍🏻

Emmabubbles 100% yes go for it! You don't have to be bang on 800 calories I'm averaging between 850 and 900 calories so far but it will be well worth it especially because you can reverse the condition!

It’s well worth reading the book, Emma, and it’s only about £3 for a kindle edition (probably loads of 2nd hand ones around too). I’d suggest you get your healthcare team onside as well though, like Kristiano has. I’m not diabetic but it was a real eye opener for me to hopefully avoid it.

I did it for 5 weeks then changed to keto which is very similar. it was a good kick start to losing weight and it wasn't so hard. I changed cos the weight stopped dropping off. good luck , you can do this 👍

Jacshadow. They are gonna test me at 4 weeks and see if it's working. If it is then I may switch to keto or a 5:2 diet

under 900 calories is so low😞 is it medically sound ? I thought 1200 was minimum?

859klm it's perfectly safe. My dietician and diabetic specialist have put me on it and are monitoring me every 2 weeks. As long as you drink 2-3 litres of water a day its fine. I'm getting plenty of protein and vitamins in me too.

Crash........I am trying to stay close to keto shall we say. That day was roasted brined chicken breast and salad for dinner. That was the only meal of the day. I have got into newer Metallica recently. "Moth into the Flame" is about me and beer in the weekends!!!! Not a bad tune. Check it out.

does this book have references to peer reviewed science papers, or based on anecdotes and conjecture ? every diet dad has at the heart of it basic message, eat less. but packaged differently to make money. use this app religiously measure and record everything that enters your mouth. set a calorie goal, throw in some exercise, be patient save money. I was 90 kg, took 1 year, now 70 kg for over 4 years (still using this app and always have a small scale to weigh portions).
