JamaicaBoundNL's Journal, 23 June 2018

Happy Saturday morning everyone! Before 10:00 a.m. today, I whipper-snipped around the yard and house so hubby could mow the grass, removed the long-hated railings from our basement stair entrance (5 pound ball peen hammer really helped 😊) and painted the shed doors. I did learn a valuable lesson this morning though. Don't undertake labour-intensive yard work with just 2 mugs of coffee as a fuel source. I had a slice of crunchie peanut butter bread before painting. After painting I had some smooth peanut butter to get the oil paint out of my hair. 😁 (It's the best thing going for paint removal from body parts using a non-toxic substance.) I had a good breakfast afterwards to fuel the errands and athletic therapy session I have this afternoon. Even after a long week, I feel energized. I feel good.

It's about 21° C here today and windy. But, it's really nice. I'm going to enjoy it while I can - rain tomorrow then 7° C on Monday and Tuesday. So, yeah - cooler. I learned about the smooth peanut butter trick from my mother when I was a child. If you want the extra scrubbing factor you can use crunchie PB, I guess. 😊 You and Mrs. Glen would be more than welcome to drop in for coffee. Just give me a heads up so I can sort through my mugs to find the ones that are not chipped. 😀
