Hi new buddies, hope you read this. I'm so glad to have some people to do this journey with. It's hard enough to loose weight, even harder not having someone to kinda bounce things off. I didn't go grocery shopping yet for my new calorie diet, so I ended up picking at some of my daughters goodies that my mom gave me this morning(they are now permitted in the house again), but hey I'm on a calorie diet so it was just counted in my calories. I do have to say though, real food would have been better...but I wasn't really hungry anyways. I do get the importance of wasting calories on that stuff only when you really need it because you get more tasty food eating healthy. I just feel free being off atkins. I did loose some water weight though so it wasn't all wasted...and I did learn from it.

It really works! I've had so much success with just plain calorie counting and exercise, I just can't recommend it enough :) Are you in my group yet? You might like it. It's called "We Don't Need No Stinkin Diet" and it's a place for people who are doing it their own way! Welcome again and good luck :)

I just now found this comment, still trying to navigate this site. You know, I did this when I was 12, and the weight just fell off. My body may be all messed up from Atkins for so many years, but I highly doubt I can't loose weight with exercise and eating right. I wan't to be healthy for my daughter and that is probally the most important thing.
