I'm getting a little frustrated with being so hungry. I'm just used to other diets where you have to ride out the hunger pangs. I just ate a 9-0z. fillet minon (went for quality over quantity) and 1/2 lb. of king crab and a side of broccoli for lunch and it filled me up very well. But only about an hour later I'm starving. I just worry I'm eating too much, even though I know large portions are okay. I feel weird eating when I'm hungry. And I'm being careful not to stuff myself, but eat until I feel comfortable.

Went out to lunch with my brother at Outback. Although I'm good at resisting temptation it would have been easier if I hadn't been so hungry. I wanted to eat before leaving the house, but my brother talked me into picking him up and going out to lunch. Like I said, I had the fillet minon, but it had a horseradish crust. I made sure it was just straight horse-radish, but I started worrying halfway through that it wasn't straight

Wondering if the being hungry already is proof that there was more to the horseradish or proof that there wasn't.

Your doing fantastic! The hunger will go away but you are doing the right thing by eating when you are hungery and not stuffing yourself. Your scale is telling you you are doing fine but you might consider purchasing some ketosticks to reassure yourself that what you are eating is ok for induction.

Thanks both of you! I do have ketosticks. My results are ranging from 'moderate'(dark pink) to 'high' (light purple, haven't hit dark purple yet). I did my first ketostick on Monday and got a light pink result. From then on it's beed varied based on the time of day I do it. Monday I got light pink early on and dark pink in the evening. And then yesterday and today I got dark pink first thing in the morning and then light purple when I tested later in the day. I'm wondering if I'm showing lower ketones in morning (before eating) because I've been exerting minimal energy while sleeping? Or if it's something I'm eating. :/
