Does anyone else have issues with their FitBit "way" under-recording HR when doing pullups, bench press, and various other weight lifting exercises? My warm up and cool downs record a higher HR than when doing 20-30 reps of pull ups. What's up with that?

I find that sometimes it gets stuck on a number and moving it around, or taking it off and put it back on can get it to read correctly again. good luck.

Wrist based HRM are pretty inaccurate during actual strenuous activity, especially if you are exerting your arms and compressing muscles and veins in that area. When doing weights or pullups, et. you pretty much have to use a chest strap HRM.

Well, any of the main sports watches... Garmin, Polar, Suunvo, et.make fitness trackers that pair with cheat straps. Personally I used a Garmin 735XT plus Swim HRM ... that will run you just under 400 bucks for the pair.. I know, ouch.

I have a Myzone monitor which is about $135 on Amazon. It does have a chest strap but hooks up to bluetooth

When I am in the middle of a 5 mile run I sweat a little. When I stop at a traffic light I sweat a lot. My HR also jumps. With running it seems my body works harder than normal but only 'so hard'. When I stop, it then seems to go into "oh my god! We need to pump blood!" Weird...

Thanks abbadabba, I'll have to check that out. Adefwebserver, sounds like you need a cardio check up :)
