3rd journal entry of the day...I am on a roll. I have to say, I believe my BIGGEST pet peeve - by far - is the thousands of people who post comments on every kind of weight loss article, blog, website, etc... with their KNOW IT ALL tone and advice... it's calories in vs calories out... mantra!!!

AAAAGGGHHHHH shoot me now!

Don't, I repeat... Don't buy into the lie! Of Course calories matter...but so do the quality of calories... and of course the substance of those calories. More importantly - HOW your body uses those calories are equally important -AND- let's not forget about exercise. Some - quite good for you. Too much of a good thing, can and will likely slow you down, if not entirely stall you out. (in the loss dept.)

Don't believe me? Just try it.

These journals, forums, and posts are full of real life experiences of all kinds of people, from all walks of life, and no two people are getting exactly the same results as the next guy... give or take.

Every BODY is different. And you will uniquely need to find what works specifically for you.

If it's calories in vs calories out... great. You found what works for you. Now, pls let the rest of us continue on our journey of self discovery without having to hear YOUR ANSWER to the WHOLE WORLD! It doesn't fit everyone.

Well, it doesn't fit me.

Paula - then here is shocker. A new study funded by the National Institutes of Health has discovered that "Low-carb diet burns the most calories". Who knew?

Amen to your rant! :-) If you hadn't, sooner or later, someone else, around here, would have; you were just echoing how a lot of us feel. The bottom line is we all have a goal to shed the excess pounds, in a healthy way, and there is no, one size fits all way to get the job done. :-)
